Kloten – Among airports that handle 25 to 40 million passengers per year, Zurich is the best in Europe. To this end, it was once again honored with an Airport Service Quality Award this year. Zurich shared top spot with the airports in Copenhagen and Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

(CONNECT<\/a>)\u00a0This year,\u00a0Zurich Airport<\/a>\u00a0has once again been named as the best European airport handling between 25 and 40 million passengers per year. In fact, Zurich Airport has occupied top spot for the\u00a0Airport Service Quality Award<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Airport Council International (ACI) World<\/a>\u00a0every year since 2018. On this occasion, Zurich shares the accolade presented by the international umbrella organization for airport operators with the airports in Copenhagen and Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n

The award is based on a comprehensive passenger survey, which evaluates a total of 34 different categories. These include infrastructure, catering options and hygiene standards. The surveys were conducted at more than 400 participating airports in 110 countries.<\/p>\n

“Ensuring high quality for our passengers is of great importance to Zurich Airport and requires good cooperation between all partners”, comments Lukas Brosi, CEO of Flughafen Z\u00fcrich AG, the operator of Zurich Airport, in a\u00a0press release<\/a>. “We would like to thank all the companies and employees at the airport who contribute to this every day”, he concludes.<\/p>\n

In order to further improve the customer experience, Zurich Airport has reportedly been re-accredited for the\u00a0ACI Customer Experience Program<\/a>. Recommended actions can be derived from the survey feedback. According to the press release, the launch of the\u00a0ZRH Comfort<\/a>\u00a0offering, which was introduced at the end of 2023 to provide passengers with a separate lounge area complete with access to snacks and drinks, came about as a result of this.
