Panel – New Horizons: Canada’s Post-Tariff Diversification

We invite you to take part in our upcoming roundtable on the Canadian economy, which will examine the challenges and opportunities facing Canada in a constantly evolving international context. Discussions will focus on market diversification, strategic alliances, and key sectors to be developed in order to reduce reliance on the U.S. market and strengthen Canada’s global economic position.

Our speakers:

• Denis Hamel – CPA, CPA•IFA, CIRP, LIT, CFF, CFE – Partner and Leader of Financial Advisory Services, Forvis Mazars, Canada

With 30 years of experience in financial advisory services, Denis Hamel is recognized for his sound judgment and innovative solutions in investigations, risk management, and litigation support, particularly in the areas of commercial crime and financial disputes.

He specializes in crisis management and prevention as well as damage quantification, working closely with legal advisors, business leaders, and regulatory bodies. Denis also regularly lectures on various topics related to forensic accounting.

Before joining Forvis Mazars, Denis spent 30 years developing his expertise at renowned accounting firms at both national and international levels, including 2 years in Paris. During this time, he led engagements in corporate restructuring, due diligence, and forensic accounting, primarily in civil and commercial law.

He has managed numerous complex mandates for civil and criminal cases and has testified as an expert before the Québec Superior Court, administrative tribunals, arbitrators, and the Federal Court.

Simon Beauchemin – Vice President, Strategy and Communications, Teneo Global Advisory (CEO Advisory Group)

Drawing on his experience with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government during the renegotiation of NAFTA, Simon Beauchemin will offer his perspective on Canada’s strengths and weaknesses, priority markets, and strategic initiatives to support economic development both domestically and internationally.

Anne-Béatrice Bullinger – Consul General of Switzerland in Montreal, Permanent Representative to ICAO

Anne-Béatrice Bullinger brings extensive diplomatic and international experience, having held various positions within the Swiss government and diplomatic missions in Africa and at ICAO. She will provide a European perspective on global economic challenges and partnership opportunities for Canada.
